IAAPA Asian Attractions Expo Offers Six Unique Networking Opportunities

Alexandria, VA, USA – Asian Attractions Expo (AAE) 2016 participants can attend six different networking opportunities, including the Opening Night Reception, the Young Professionals Forum and Reception, Shanghai Ocean Aquarium Guided Tour (sold out), and IAAPA Presents: A Magical Evening at Shanghai Disney Resort. The events provide a relaxed atmosphere to connect or reconnect with international attractions industry professionals from C-level executives to managers, suppliers, and those just beginning their industry career.

AAE 2016 is the region’s premier conference and trade show for the attractions industry and takes place at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) 13-16 June. The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions owns and produces AAE annually in different cities in the Asia-Pacific region.

A separate ticket and AAE 2016 registration is required to attend each of the following six networking events.

Opening Ceremony: Tuesday, 14 June, 9:15 – 10
Participants will celebrate the start of Asian Attractions Expo 2016, hear what’s happening in the Asia-Pacific region, enjoy entertainment, and get a sneak preview of what is ahead for the global attractions industry and IAAPA. Admission is included in Expo registration and all are invited to attend.

Opening Night Reception: Tuesday, 14 June, 17:00 – 18:30
The who’s who of the Asia-Pacific attractions industry will gather in the IAAPA Theatre in Hall N3 of the SNIEC to mix and mingle with longtime friends and make new connections. The event attracts executives, directors, and managers of attractions and supplier companies from across the globe.

The Opening Night Reception is sponsored by Golden Horse Technology Entertainment Corporation and the IAAPA Theatre is sponsored by Dynamic Attractions.

Young Professionals Forum and Reception: Wednesday, 15 June, Forum 16:00 – 18:00, Reception 18:00 – 19:00
The Young Professionals Forum provides those starting their career a platform to effectively interact with experienced leaders in the attractions industry. During the forum industry leaders will share secrets of their success and advice. The Young Professionals Reception, following the forum, allows participants the opportunity to mix and mingle with fellow young professionals and up-and-coming leaders within the attractions industry. The event is only open to attendees under age 35.

SOLD OUT: Shanghai Ocean Aquarium Guided Tour: Wednesday, 15 June, 16:30 – 19:00
Attendees can tour Shanghai Ocean Aquarium, the largest aquarium in Shanghai with nine themed-zones and more than 450 species of aquatic animals from the five continents and four oceans. The aquarium’s management team will share what it is like to operate the facility in an international destination city.

SOLD OUT: IAAPA Presents: A Magical Evening at Shanghai Disney Resort: Thursday, 16 June, 18:15 – 22:00
AAE 2016 participants can join to celebrate the success of the week, and catch a glimpse of the opening celebration of Shanghai Disney Resort. The evening begins with an exclusive reception at The Boathouse, a restaurant in the Disneytown shopping and entertainment district adjacent to ShanghaiDisneyland. Then, enjoy two hours of magic and experience Shanghai Disneyland on its opening day. Experience “Ignite the Dream – A Nighttime Spectacular of Magic and Light” at 21:00.

A Day at Shanghai Disneyland: Friday, 17 June, 08:30 – 22:30
A limited number of general admission tickets provide entry on Shanghai Disneyland’s second day of operation, Friday, 17 June. This unique opportunity allows a limited number of Asian Attractions Expo 2016 attendees to be among the first to experience this new, world-class family travel destination.
