Asian Attractions Expo 2018 completes successful run at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre

 

Asian Attractions Expo 2018, the premier international trade show and conference for attractions industry professionals in the Asia Pacific region, has completed its successful run at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) in Hong Kong, China. Hosted by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), Asian Attractions Expo 2018 ran for three days June 5-8. This year the Expo was honored to have the Michael Wong, JP, Secretary for Development of the HKSAR Government join IAAPA’s senior leadership and officiate the Opening Ceremony.

Global exhibits for attractions, entertainment, and more

Asian Attractions Expo 2018 featured over 300 exhibiting companies from more than 30 countries and regions, across more than 9,500 net square meters of trade show floor area. Among them, 81 new companies exhibited on the trade show floor for the first time. Throughout the event, top international manufacturers and suppliers debuted and unveiled new products, services, and technology. Products and services on display included state-of-the-art rides, motion simulators, virtual reality, water attractions, video and skill games, as well as the latest in theming, technology applications, food-and-beverage innovations, and more.

Over 8,000 attractions industry professionals from more than 50 countries and regions gathered together to discover new ways to grow their business by learning from and sharing industry best practices and knowledge while making connections that can only be found at Asian Attractions Expo 2018.

15 expert-led education sessions delivered industry insights

Apart from the rich product offerings to be found on the show floor, attendees also benefited from an abundance of learning and networking opportunities during Asian Attractions Expo 2018’s education sessions.

Asian Attractions Expo 2018 offered 15 education sessions with in-depth programs led by leading industry professionals from around the world, including executives from Universal Parks and Resorts, Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, Samsung, and more. Session topics covered leadership, advances in technology, delivering great experiences and other hot subjects. The Asia Pacific Spotlight session discussed the region’s fast-growing economy, the latest trends, and topics including safety, human resources, marketing, and new rides.

Special events and networking at Hong Kong’s elite attractions

Asian Attraction Expo 2018’s attendees also enjoyed many unique and memorable opportunities at various special events. The Expo began with a networking reception celebrating IAAPA’s 100th anniversary. Throughout the week, learning opportunities took place both inside HKCEC and on-site at local attractions throughout Hong Kong for exclusive education tours (EDUTours), allowing attractions industry professionals to make new connections and share ideas with like-minded colleagues.
