ADG designed Kartrite Indoor Waterpark opens in New York

The Kartrite Resort & Indoor Waterpark designed and built by Aquatic Development Group (ADG) has officially opened to the public, and was commemorated on Friday, May 10th with a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by the park’s owners & developers, designers and several local and state officials.

The Kartrite Hotel & Indoor Waterpark was built on the Resorts World Catskills campus located in the town of Thompson, N.Y. The $150 million Kartrite spans across two acres and includes 87,000 sqft of four-season indoor waterpark space and a luxury hotel with 324 luxury guest suites.

Greg Silver, President & CEO of EPR Properties was quick to point out praise for the developer during the opening ceremonies which took place in the grand lobby of the hotel. “As you can see from this beautiful property, as well as with their portfolio of other successful properties, we know we made the right choice in choosing ADG as our partner, they are first class, best in the country and that’s the quality of product we were looking to deliver here at the Kartrite.”

ADG designed the Kartrite Indoor Waterpark with a unique upscale, tropical flare that is reflected through copious amount of lush landscaping and an abundance of premium deck space and cabanas, capped off with a first of its kind, barrel-shaped Texlon® ETFE transparent roof that ensures a balmy 80 degrees every day of the year.

“This is a truly unique waterpark experience,” notes ADG’s CEO, Ken Ellis, who was instrumental in bringing this project to life. “The design and resort-like atmosphere really caters to the adults, while the amount of thrills and in-water fun is guaranteed to keep the kids active and happy. It’s a place that the entire family can fully appreciate and enjoy.”

Highlights of the many water park attractions include a FlowRider®, action river, activity kid’s pool, a multi-level play structure, five waterslides from ProSlide, an indoor/outdoor pool and a Mezzanine with a bar and grill.
