Boo at the Zoo Benefiting Children’s Hospital Returns to Audubon Zoo

New Orleans, LA, USA —  It’s time to get your tickets for Boo at the Zoo Presented by Bryan Subaru, the annual four-night, kids’ Halloween extravaganza that benefits Children’s Hospital and Audubon Zoo.

Event dates are October 21, 22, 28 and 29. Tickets are $17 per person (adult or child) plus handling fees if purchased online. Adults must purchase tickets as well as all children 12 months or older. Children under 12 months of age receive complimentary admission.

Boo at the Zoo kicks off on Friday, October 21, with a one-evening-only Marvel® Super Hero Night starring Spiderman, Captain America and Iron Man. A dance party hosted by The Super Stars will be held all four nights on the Capital One Performance Pavilion.

Boo at the Zoo is a safe, fun-filled Halloween event for children up to age 12, featuring trick-or-treat houses with candy, a Zombie-themed Ghost Train (which can be scary), a haunted house (scary and non-scary), games, entertainment and more. All games and treats, except concessions, are included with admission.

The spooky party will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. all four nights. Audubon Zoo will close at 3 p.m. each day to prepare for Boo at the Zoo.

“Boo at the Zoo is a cherished Halloween tradition for families across southeast Louisiana,” said Audubon Nature Institute President and CEO Ron Forman. “There’s no better way to enjoy trick or treating in New Orleans while also benefiting Audubon Zoo and Children’s Hospital.”

In addition to the opening-night appearance by the Marvel® Superheroes, the 2016 edition of Boo at the Zoo will feature a haunted mansion, a Laser Tag game and Angry Bird Launchers provided by Games2U Nola, a Monster Maze, inflatables and Star Wars characters on all four nights.

The Gottesman Family Endangered Species Carousel is included in admission.

The fun also includes nightly animal encounters from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and a toddler area featuring live entertainment in Audubon’s Cool Zoo (be aware, no water will be running).

All animal exhibits will be closed during Boo at the Zoo.

Contests for best group costume and best stroller/wagon decorations will be held onOctober 22, 28 and 29. To compete, costumed groups must be a combination of adults and children and must include a minimum of three contestants.

A limited number of tickets will be sold for Boo at the Zoo each night. Tickets will be honored only for the date purchased. The event is held rain or shine.
