Matt Smith officially opened the Doctor Who Experience on Sunday 20th February.  After touring the attraction Matt declared that it was “brilliant” and that “it was just like walking on to a movie set”.

‘When he met Sarner’s Managing Director, Ross Magri, and Creative Director, Michael Bennett, the current Doctor declared that he enjoyed the moving platform on the TARDIS at the Experience so much that he’d like one installed on the TV set in Cardiff, saying, “this one really moves but on the TV set I need to act as though it does!”

‘Commenting on the new attraction, Smith said, “I’m blown away by the Doctor Who Experience and I love my job because I get to be a part of amazing things like this attraction.”

‘Smith added, “It truly captures the adventure of the TV series and, prior to becoming the Doctor, this would have been the closest I could ever have got to the real thing.  It certainly ticks all the boxes for the fans out there“.’
