BREAKING NEWS: James Cameron Has Reached Deepest Point on Earth

(March 25, 2010 3:45PM PDT) — 45 minutes ago, film and themed attraction director and producer James Cameron sent the following tweet from the bottom of the Mariana Trench’s Challenger Deep, seven miles below sea level:

Just arrived at the ocean’s deepest pt. Hitting bottom never felt so good. Can’t wait to share what I’m seeing w/ you 

The Deepsea Challenger single person submersible is outfitted with four HD cameras with 3D capabilities.  IPM News has confirmed that footage from these cameras will be the centerpiece of a National Geographic documentary for giant screen and immersive cinemas.
