Bungalow Scenic Studios has collaborated with the creative teams at Gaylord Hotels to develop a fully immersive experience for the new Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center in Aurora, Colorado. “Mistletoe Village” will debut at the Denver-area resort on November 22, 2019, welcoming guests to experience the magic of the season in a Victorian town, inspired by Charles Dickens’ classic “A Christmas Carol.” Mistletoe Village will bring timeless stories to life through interactive show experiences, a village sweet shop and café, a Christmas Market, and other themed activities.
Bungalow has been rehabbing, designing, and building the themed holiday villages for various Gaylord Hotels since 2014, including locations in Kissimmee, FL.; National Harbor, MD; and Grapevine, TX. The villages are the home to themed Christmas attractions and serve as the entry point for ICE!, the signature attraction at Gaylord Hotels, a hand-carved ice sculpture experience that welcomes nearly one million visitors across the brand.

In addition to the debut of the new village set at Gaylord Rockies, Bungalow has created a new interactive attraction space for the new Elf Training Academy (above) at Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee. Located adjacent to the existing Santa’s Workshop in the resort’s highly-themed Bavarian-style “Alpine Village,” the Elf Training Academy is designed to look like a whimsical toy factory. Inside the attraction, visitors are invited to become honorary gift makers, creating hand-crafted presents for family and friends all under the guidance of an Elf Supervisor.

“We are always proud to see the creativity and detail of our set pieces crafted by Bungalow,” said Niko Nickolaou, Director of Special Events and Entertainment at Gaylord Palms. “Guests feel like a part of the story we wish to tell, transporting them far away from the actual convention center where we build our immersive holiday experience.”
Christmas at Gaylord Hotels runs from dates in November through early January, depending on the resort location. Visitors can learn more and purchase tickets to the fully immersive experiences found at Gaylord Hotels across the United States at www.ChristmasAtGaylordHotels.com.
