Butlins Announces 2013 Entertainment and New Waterpark for UK Holiday Parks

London, England /Marketwire/ Butlins family holiday parks are continuing their programme of investment with the new £12m waterpark at Skegness where guests will really feel as though they are in the tropics with tropical plants, guaranteed perfectly heated pools and air-conditioning. There is something for all the family with a family riptide raft ride, outdoor lazy river, Jet-Stream and Vortex fast flumes. For those who want to relax there is a central whirlpool and secret bubble pool to enjoy before reclining on a comfy lounger and ordering a cool drink from the cafe.

The Bognor Regis holiday park offers a rejuvenated fairground with a spinning carousel, classic helter skelter as well as the more daring Paratroopers and Trabant rides. Due to the popularity of the characters such as Bob the Builder, Angelina Ballerina, Fireman Sam and Mike the Knight a brand new Character Theatre will be opening at Bognor Regis at Easter. Most character shows will run throughout the day, there are new ones for Bob the Builder and Angelina Ballerina, with a newly introduced one in the evening featuring Butlins own characters Billy and Bonnie Bear.

Due to the popularity of The Deck premium dining restaurant at Bognor Regis it will also be opening at Minehead and Skegness offering a range of dishes from around the world at our serving stations, including the Chargrill, wok station and pasta bar.

Butlins is famous for its live entertainment and 2013 sees some fantastic new shows including:

Sesame Street

Monsters making music! Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Big Bird and all their Sesame Street friends are taking to the stage to share their love of music in Sesame Street Live “Elmo Makes Music”.

Abby Cadabby loves to sing and wants to start a new band on Sesame Street! Join the fun as Abby, Elmo and friends discover ‘instruments’ they never knew existed…pots and spoons, trash can lids, and even cookie jars! Everyone’s favourite fun, furry and feathered friends teach children that we can make and enjoy beautiful music together.

Blues on the Move

Blues on the Move is based on music from the Blues Brothers era. You can sing along to hits like Everybody Needs Somebody, Jailhouse Rock and Shake Your Tail Feather while watching the professional singing and dance cast bring the hits to life on stage.

Jacksons

Jacksons is a show that celebrates all that’s brilliant about the incredibly talented Jackson family. The show will take you back to the Jackson 5 era and then bring you right up to date with hits from Janet and the King of Pop himself. This is one you won’t want to miss.

Cirque de Hilarity presents – Daredevils and Clowns

Danger and humour aren’t two things you’d normally expect to see together, but it works perfectly in this circus show with daredevil acts from across the world and hilarious comedy routines as well as Magic, Madness & Mayhem as well as the now Legendary Rock Band “Clownforce” – all with a touch of danger.

Butlins operates three seaside resorts in Bognor Regis, Minehead and Skegness. For more information, visit www.butlins.com.
