Camelback Resort in the Pocono Mountains now open

Just in time for a full summer of family adventures, the 560-acre Camelback Resort in the Pocono Mountains reopened Friday, June 12 its mountain modern-designed hotel, Camelback Lodge; and its Mountain Adventures, including Pennsylvania’s only mountain coaster, on Saturday June 13. Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark reopened Friday, June 19 and the resort’s popular outdoor Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark will reopen on Wednesday, July 1.

Camelback Lodge reopened at limited capacity to create an exclusive, safe and crowd-free experience – and all mountain adventures will limit guests to ensure physical distancing. Enhanced sanitation measures utilizing hospital-grade disinfectants have been deployed throughout the resort, and guests will be greeted with a wellness screening, asked to wear a face covering and comply with six-foot physical distancing policies.

Camelback Mountain Adventures includes Pennsylvania’s only mountain coaster, Appalachian Express Mountain Coaster with a 4,500-foot steel track with cars that zoom down the steep slopes of Camelback Mountain; Double Barrel 1,000-foot Ziplines, where families can play all day; and the 4,000-foot Zip-Flyer experience, Pennsylvania’s longest zipline, which can be a “twin” activity with one person flying down the mountain right next to someone else.

Voted USA Today’s #1 Indoor Waterpark and opened Friday, June 19, Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark, features North America’s largest Texlon transparent roof, 13 innovative water slides including tube, body, mat, bowl, aqua launch and kiddie slides.

A favorite summer destination is Pennsylvania’s largest waterpark, Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark, opening July 1. The popular outdoor waterpark features 37 rides, slides and water attractions, including the acclaimed FlowRider surfing simulator ride and the Vortex & Spin Cycle duo bowl slides. Coupled with Camelback Mountain Adventures, Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark delivers a combination of thrill and relaxation in a clean, safe, family-friendly mountain setting.

Camelback Lodge accommodations include comfortable, furnished single room to three-bedroom suites with 16 layouts – many perfect for multi-generational vacations with full kitchens, fireplaces, balconies and spacious lofts. Family dry adventures feature a rock climbing wall, a bumper car course and more. To add to the indoor entertainment, Arcadia Adventures – opened Friday, June 19 – features activities such as 7D Dark Ride, climbing adventures, 4D Chaos Jump VR experience, and much more, as well as over 100 video games at Arcadia Mega Arcade.

Opening in phases, Camelback Lodge offers many distancing dining options with delicious, varied foods to ensure everyone is deliciously satisfied, including family-friendly Hemispheres, Colonial Commons, Graffiti Pizza, Flyboys and Neptunes, which offer grab-and-go snacks and meals. The World Bazaar Shop also offers grab-and-go.
