Vaughan, ON, Canada /CNW/ — Canada’s Wonderland , home of one of the most exhilarating collection of rides, roller coasters and water park fun in all of Canada, opened its gates for another exciting season on Sunday, May 5, 2013. The park has 68 exciting rides including 16 thrilling roller coasters highlighted by Leviathan – one of the biggest coasters in the world, Planet Snoopy and KidZville children’s areas, and Dinosaurs Alive – a 7-acre animatronic dinosaur park.
The park’s 33rd season features an outstanding live entertainment line-up starting later this summer. Starlight Spectacular – Illumination of Water will premiere on June 22, 2013 and will dazzle audiences nightly at 10pm through to Labour Day. A million dollar investment in this state-of-the-art attraction will be showcased by an all new breath-taking illumination of water, special effects and brilliant bursts of colour as the Royal Fountain dances to a stunning composition of inspirational music set against the magic of Wonder Mountain.
Stop by the Wonderland Theatre starting on June 22 and prepare to be mesmerized by the return of the awe-inspiring Cirque Ambiente ; a cirque-style show featuring feats of strength, balance and athleticism by a talented cast. The British are coming…to International Showplace! British Invasion features the songs of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Spice Girls, Adele, One Direction and many other UK hits all backed by a live band. The all-new musical revue can be seen on weekends starting May 25, and daily starting June 22.
