Carowinds Opens Season with New Camp Snoopy Themed Children’s Area

As Carowinds opene,d its gates this year its youngest guests were the stars. Carowinds has transformed its kids’ area into the new Camp Snoopy, featuring five new junior rides like Pig Pen’s Mud Buggies and a soaring Camp Bus, and an 8,000-square-foot climb and play area with plenty of shade. A new fountain with shady pergolas serves as the centerpiece, offering a beautiful place for families to gather and relax. Wilderness-inspired theming and upgraded amenities add charm and practicality.

To make room for all this family fun, the Character Carousel was relocated, refreshed and renamed. The Grand Carousel now sits in a new pavilion anchoring the newly renovated Carousel Park plaza, located near Vortex.

Also new for this year is Great Carolina Fest, a summer kick-off celebration of all the reasons to love the Carolinas. From food to music to iced tea on the porch and games on the lawn, it promises hometown fun for everyone. A new Cirque show debuting in June is sure to leave guests breathless. New menu items round out the offerings with a smoked brisket bacon cheeseburger, Carolina bird dog sandwich, s’mores funnel cake and more.
