Columbia, MD, USA (May 16, 2013) /PRNewswire/ — MICROS Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: MCRS), a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality and retail industries, is pleased to announce that it has expanded its partnership with world-renowned amusement-resort operator, Cedar Fair Entertainment Company. Cedar Fair Entertainment Company selected MICROS’ Simphony Enterprise Solution for implementation at Knott’s Berry Farm, California’s Great America, Worlds of Fun, and Valley Fair amusement parks. The installation across these four parks includes a total of 836 Simphony Clients loaded onto 522 easy-to-use MICROS Workstation 5A (WS5A) terminals and 290 ruggedized MICROS Keyboard Workstation 270 (KW270) terminals, in addition to 32 MICROS Kitchen Display Systems (KDS).
MICROS Simphony is already implemented at Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom, Carowinds, Cedar Point, and Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park.
With an enterprise consisting of 11 amusement parks, four outdoor water parks, and one indoor water park, Cedar Fair’s parks entertain more than 23 million guests annually. Moving guests through the park’s restaurants in an efficient manner and managing operations is a key role of MICROS Simphony with its ability to seamlessly integrate business processes and reporting across all locations.
