Chance Rides Providing Four Attractions to Galveston Pleasure Pier

Wichita, KS, USA — Chance is excited to be a supplier of rides for Landry’s Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier. The new 1,130 foot-long Galveston amusement pier is set to open Summer of 2012 and will be home to four Chance Rides including a Giant Wheel (Galaxy Wheel), a 36’ Double Decker Carrousel, Revolution 20 and a Pharaoh’s Fury (Sea Dragon.)

This Pleasure Pier will be one-of-a-kind in the United States with 16 rides, a full service restaurant, a performing stage, and much more! The year-round tourist destination is being built by Landry’s, a restaurant management company that operates the Rainforest Cafe, Claim Jumper, Morton’s Steakhouse and McCormick & Schmick’s. The new Galveston pier will include a Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., another restaurant chain owned by Landry’s.

Landry’s also runs Kemah Boardwalk, a waterfront amusement park that boasts five Chance rides and is located 30 miles north of Galveston.
