CINEDIGM DIGITAL CINEMA and BIG & DIGITAL LLC partner to distribute digital cinema content to museums and cultural attractions

Starting with content from Cinedigm Entertainment Group’s Kidtoons program, relationship will expand CINEDIGM’s reach into new digital venues

Woodland Hills, CA (August 16, 2011) Cinedigm Digital Cinema (NASDAQ: CIDM)
and BIG & Digital LLC have entered into an agreement for B&D to expand Cinedigm’s digital distribution footprint for its popular Kidtoons matinee program into museums, attractions and educational venues.

Cinedigm, a global leader in digital cinema, distributes and markets content ranging from kids programming to concerts, documentaries, music and independent films into digital movie theatres, including the recent releases of National Geographic’s LIFE IN A DAY, the Sarah Palin documentary, THE UNDEFEATED, and the FOO FIGHTERS in LIVE 3D.

“Cinedigm’s programmatic approach to alternative content is an obvious fit with the goals of these institutional venues, helping them attract new and expanded audiences, and providing a complementary reach to Cinedigm’s traditional cinema partners,” said Michele Martell, chief operating officer of Cinedigm Entertainment Group. “Digital content is an intrinsically nimble and efficient way to get content to avid audiences and we are thrilled that Big & Digital – with its nationwide relationships – can get our great content to passionate audiences.”

The distribution relationship will begin with a popular program from Cinedigm’s Kidtoons matinee program, Spookley: The Square Pumpkin, on October 1, 2011.

“As more and more institutional venues go digital, there is a need for high-quality family friendly content,” said Tina Ratterman, founder of BIG & Digital. “Museums realize the potential for new earned revenue and we are thrilled to partner with Cinedigm to offer the Kidtoons programming that parents can count on and museums can profit from.”
