“CORAL: Rekindling Venus” to Screen at 2013 Sundance Film Festival in E&S Digistar 5 Digital Dome

019Salt Lake City, UT, USA (January 16, 2013) — Evans & Sutherland Computer Corporation (E&S) is proud to announce that they will be bringing a Digistar 5 fulldome digital cinema system to the 2013 edition of New Frontier at the Sundance Film Festival. This is the first time that any fulldome system has been featured at the Festival. Digistar 5 will be installed in a 5 meter dome as part of the New Frontier venue and will feature Lynette Wallworth’s fulldome film, CORAL: Rekindling Venus, screening multiple times daily from January 18-26 starting at 1pm. Additionally, once a day from January 19 – 26 from Noon to 1 pm MST, E&S will demonstrate the versatility and capability of Digistar 5 as the immersive digital cinema system of the future by showing custom-made content. The system features two DLP projectors each with 2560 x 1600 resolution with custom fisheye lenses for outstanding image quality and brightness.
