After more than two years of research and significant development, Cityneon Holdings Limited – and its wholly owned subsidiary, Victory Hill Exhibitions (VHE) – officially opened the doors on Hasbro’s Transformers Autobots Alliance interactive exhibition on January 11, 2018 at the popular high-‐end shopping and living center, Shin Kong Place Chongqing, in China.
VHE is an exhibition production and distribution company focused on delivering engaging, educational, and interactive exhibitions for the global market. They have established strong working partnerships with major movie studios through movie franchise exhibitions like the SBR International Business Award-‐winning Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N with Disney’s Marvel Studios. VHE was the primary designer, providing creative and technical direction for the entire Transformers Autobots Alliance attraction.
Michael Mattox, COO & CTO of VHE, states: “All of us young and old have a connection to Transformers. This new exhibit leverages on modern technology and gives you a chance to interact, play, and learn more about these amazing beings while being immersed in an environment that is best described as electrified eye candy.”
Diablo Sound – working in conjunction with VHE – provided the sound design and integration, as well as the show control design. Diablo Sound’s owner and principal designer Drew Dalzell states, “We have worked with VHE on other outstanding projects, including Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N., which has exhibited in more than 8 countries. But we’re very excited to see how China – and eventually the world – receives the new Transformers Autobots Alliance experience.”
Behind the scenes, VHE and Diablo Sound were proud to make use of QSC’s Q-‐SYS system, including their AcousticDesignTM speakers, and CXD-‐Q amplifiers . They also relied on Alcorn McBride’s V4 Pro and AMI/O for show control.
This collaboration puts exhibit-‐goers at the center of an interactive Transformers experience; an awe-‐inspiring, walk-‐through attraction featuring familiar characters from the iconic franchise such as Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Windblade.
From Cityneon’s official press announcement: Transformers Autobots Alliance is the first exhibit of its kind to showcase the larger-‐than-‐life robots, as well as special effects, reflex tests, virtual reality, motion sensing, and other features surrounding the brand, staying true to the tagline “More Than Meets the Eye.” Fans will even have the chance to learn the Transformers language and decode missions throughout the exhibit.
