DNP Introduces Panoramic Printing and Luster Print Finish for Flagship DS620A Printer

DNP Imagingcomm America Corporation (DNP IAM) today announced the immediate availability of its DS620A Firmware v1.41, DS620A Driver v1.0.4.2, and Hot Folder Print Utility v2.2. The new software enables panoramic print functionality and a new luster finish mode on DNP’s flagship DS620A dye-sublimation printer.

The DS620A can now produce stunning 6”x14” and 6”x20” panoramic photos—printed from DNP’s 6”x8” media. To enable panoramic printing, DNP’s DS620A printer must be updated to the latest version of the DS620A firmware (v1.41) and the user must be printing through DNP’s new Hot Folder Print (HFP) Utility v2.2.

“Panoramic prints are costly and time consuming to create with an inkjet printer,” said Katsuyuki Oshima, President of DNP IAM. “With the introduction of panoramic print functionality to our DS620A dye-sub printer, photographers and photo booth operators can now offer high quality panoramic photo prints quickly and at a rate that is both affordable to their customer and profitable for their business.”

In addition to creating panoramic prints, the HFP Utility v2.2 now offers the option to set a time out amount for multi-cut print jobs. It features expanded print finish support with the addition of a new luster finish and the ability to reposition the app window. HFP can also print images in a specific order, apply color corrections, and features the capability to support multiple DNP printers.

DNP’s new DS620A Driver v1.0.4.2 provides improved usability and a new luster finish mode in addition to the existing glossy and matte finishes. The luster finish mode allows for just the right amount of depth and pattern to the finish to create true professional-grade photo prints. The driver also boasts improved intelligence and will recognize media and print size as well as optimize media usage when printing.

The DS620A Firmware v1.41, DS620A Driver v1.0.4.2, and Hot Folder Print Utility v2.2 are free downloadable updates available on the DNP website: http://dnpphoto.com/en-us/Support/Downloads/Drivers-Tools
