Gateway Ticketing Partners With Metafour UK For New UK Ticketing Solutions Company

Boyertown, PA, USA — Gateway Ticketing Systems, Inc., has announced the opening of a brand new company in the UK, which is prepared to change the face of the attractions ticketing industry in the UK and Ireland.

Based in Hammersmith, London, Gateway Ticketing Systems UK, Ltd. is a joint venture partnership between Gateway Ticketing Systems US and software services specialist Metafour UK. The venture will be headed by Andy Povey as Operations Director, a well-known face within the visitor attractions and events sectors. Metafour brings a solid base of resources and experience to deliver sales, support, installation, customization and consultancy to the table.

The new company will deliver the full range of Gateway’s industry-leading Galaxy® revenue management solutions for general admission ticketing and access control to provide customers with new ways to boost revenue. Gateway UK aims to be the solution of choice in the UK for all venues within the attractions sector, including museums and galleries, heritage attractions and historic houses, zoos and gardens, theme parks and events, as well as for those in the bus and ferry transportation sectors.

Executive Vice President at Gateway Ticketing Systems, Darryl Moser, is excited to see the new company take off: “Gateway UK is a venture designed to address the requirements of ticketed venues within the UK and Ireland. We are thrilled to be able to provide such a customized fit for the many attractions there and to increase our local service capabilities to ensure our customers’ success with the Galaxy suite of products.”

Among the Galaxy suite of offerings are an integrated e-commerce platform with print-at-home tickets, a mobile Web store, an integrated agent booking and accounting engine; membership and loyalty programs; Gift Aid on admission and donations online and on-site. As a single platform for ticketing, retail, and food and beverage, that provides a single view of visitor spending, the Galaxy suite provides users with a tool to help increase per cap revenue. The Galaxy solution also features an integrated resource and event planning tool and real-time management information to maximize operational performance.

On the new company and the solutions it will offer, Andy Povey commented: “Gateway has been established for close to 25 years and has over 400 customers worldwide in 35 countries. Gateway UK will offer all the services and support currently provided from the head office in the US to both new and

existing customers. Importantly, however, we will also provide market specific aspects to installations and interfacing to UK specific systems and tour operators. Metafour’s extensive expertise in software development will be a key part of this provision.”

A new website for the UK office – www.gatewayticketing.co.uk – has also been launched in conjunction with this announcement.
