Hollywood, CA, USA —  In conjunction with IAAPA 2013, the Hollywood, CA-based Goddard Group, and its Founder/Chairman/CEO, Gary Goddard, have announced a slate of exciting new and recent projects in which the company has been engaged. Goddard Group will be exhibiting during IAAPA 2013 in Orlando, FL, Nov. 18-22, at Booth # 1358. Mr. Goddard made these announcements about upcoming and recent company projects:

LOTTE WORLD:

Since Lotte World and Goddard Group first announced their multi-project partnership 18 months ago, five new attractions and themed zones have already opened as a result – each one proving a success for the South Korean theme park operator. The two companies have developed a sterling relationship, and the successful new attractions have been garnering high praise for the Korean institution.

In conjunction with IAAPA 2013, Goddard Group has just announced that the company is currently working on a new, sixth attraction for the park — a new themed zone which will be called “Fairy Trails.”  An expansion of the “Underland” themed zone which opened in April 2013 (also designed by Goddard Group), “Fairy Trails” allows guests to explore a magical subterranean world, which is home to an ancient tribe of friendly faeries and sprites. When completed in early 2014, the land will feature new dining and retail options, as well as a highly-themed family ride experience.

MACAU, CHINA:

In Macau, China, Goddard Group has completed design on a major new themed resort complex that will be announced in early 2014. This project is the first fully-integrated destination resort complex to follow Goddard Group’s highly acclaimed Galaxy Macau. The Galaxy Macau, which opened in May of 2011, has since become Macau’s #1 casino resort, replacing The Venetian as the new iconic symbol of the Cotai Strip. While no additional details can yet be provided at this point, the project promises to become the next major new iconic destination resort in Macau.

BUND, CHINA, STUDIO THEME PARK:

In September 2013, ground was broken on an all-new “Shanghai Bund” Studio Theme Park Resort, slated to premiere in China in 2016. Located in the city of Hengdian, just a few hours from Shanghai, this new Goddard Group-designed family resort will be home to a 50-acre family theme park, as well as a variety of themed hotel offerings, all centered around an exact recreation of the pre-war Shanghai Bund.

Said Goddard, “As a film director myself, I was able to work with the Hengdian Studio team to design a backlot that would greatly facilitate shooting within multiple areas, simultaneously. Constructing such a venue will allow Hengdian World Studios to address the incredible demand to film period dramas along the iconic water front locale, while also allowing the site to entertain the ever-growing number of tourists who flock to the city, where they’re able to watch content production first hand. These tourists will also be able to experience the Bund’s movie theme park, which has been designed within this project.”

Adds Taylor Jeffs, Goddard Group’s Director of Design, “The new studio and movie park will be home to several large-scale themed rides, shows, and studio tours that will transport guests inside the excitement and romance of the Bund’s golden era. In addition, one particularly unique element of the park will be its seamless integration of the studio and theme park elements.”

Chris Crary, Goddard Group’s Director of Masterplanning and Architecture, said,  “Instead of having separate areas for each — like most studio-themed parks — here they will be integrated into a single unit, made possible by the specialized placement of key production facilities and filming locations. This will allow both the theme park and the studio to simultaneously function completely uninterrupted by each other.”

HARBIN AND HANCHAING, CHINA, OCEAN BASED PROJECTS:

Goddard Group has begun work on several additional new projects in China, including new destination resorts located in the cities of Harbin and Haichang.  Both projects include a theme park, a resort hotel, and additional supporting attractions.

INDONESIA:

In Indonesia, Goddard Group is currently working on a new high-tech/high-touch indoor theme park that is based upon one of the largest international brands in the world today. The project is part of a larger destination resort – one that is being developed at a world-class level.

BROADWAY 4D:

In New York City, Goddard is leading a team of incredible design and production talent into the brave new world of “Broadway 4D,” by creating a new form of entertainment attraction that promises to be dynamic, emotional, and thrilling. “Broadway 4D,” which will debut in New York City during Spring 2015, will be located in the Times Square Theatre on 42nd Street in Manhattan. “Broadway 4D” will present a spectacular experience that features many of the greatest songs from musicals by the likes of Rodgers and Hammerstein, Stephen Sondheim, Andrew Lloyd Weber, and many other composers. These songs will be performed by an array of the greatest stars of stage, screen, and recording, in a show unlike anything else in the world today.

LAS VEGAS:

In Las Vegas, Goddard Group is actively working on a new project that remains highly confidential. It, too, is based on a major international brand.
