Greg Meyer Joins VOA’s Orlando Office as VP and Senior Landscape Architect

GREG MEYER-VOA smOrlando, FL, USA — VOA Associates Incorporated, an international architecture, planning and interior design firm, announced that Greg Meyer, PLA, has joined the firm’s Orlando, FL office as a Vice President and Senior Landscape Architect for VOA’s Landscape and Planning Group. “Greg’s talent encompasses over 32 years of experience, providing a range of services that go beyond landscape architecture to include planning and design for hospitality and resort, themed entertainment and urban design projects,” states Jonathan F. Douglas, AIA, Managing Principal with VOA in Orlando, FL. “We are proud to welcome him into our Firm.”

Mr. Meyer’s professional design experience includes assignments throughout the United States and the Caribbean as well as projects in South America, China and the Middle East. His portfolio of notable hotel and resort design projects includes the Sarasota Ritz-Carlton Hotel and Beach Club; the Universal Orlando Hard Rock Hotel; and the Hyatt Vacation Club, San Antonio, Texas. In the themed entertainment sector, his projects include Disney’s Castaway Cay, Bahamas; EuroPark, Canela, Brazil; and Jungala at Busch Gardens, Tampa, FL. Mr. Meyer has also led design and landscape efforts for community and civic projects that include airports, parks, retirement communities, churches and municipalities throughout Florida.

Mr. Meyer’s current projects with VOA include a new master plan for Wild Florida, an airboat tour and wildlife theme park attraction located in St. Cloud, FL; and a high profile 250,000 SF commercial redevelopment in Orlando, FL.

Mr. Meyer earned his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Florida/Gainesville. He currently holds membership in the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) and the Central Florida Hotel Lodging Association and is a past member of the City of Orlando Municipal Planning Board.

With a current staff of over 240 worldwide, VOA specializes in creating environments for hospitality, leisure, cultural, and themed entertainment clients throughout the United States and internationally.
