Alexandria, VA, USA (November 5, 2013) — The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) announced IAAPA Leadership Conference 2014 will take place March 5-7, in San Francisco, California, United States. Attractions industry professionals from around the world will learn how to create, embrace, and reinvent their companies’ stories to increase customer retention and build loyalty to drive their businesses.
Roger Gould, chief creative director, theme park division, Pixar Animation Studios, will deliver the keynote address at the conference. Since taking this role in 2006, Gould has collaborated with Walt Disney Imagineering to bring the stories behind the Pixar characters and worlds to life within Disney theme parks, resorts, and cruise ships. His credits include “Toy Story Mania!,” “Turtle Talk with Crush,” “Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor,” “Crush’s Coaster,” Toy Story Playland, “Monsters Ride & Go Seek,” “World of Color,” and Cars Land.
Several California attractions will host attendees, demonstrating how they leverage their stories and assets to drive revenue. These facilities are: Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, Exploratorium, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, and the San Francisco Zoo.
The cost of the event is US$675. IAAPA members can register at a discounted rate of US$499 before Jan. 24, and the member price is US$599 after that deadline. Nonmembers that register before Jan. 24 can attend for US$625. Registration includes keynote sessions, education sessions, facility experiences, lunches and receptions, and transportation between venues and the San Francisco Marriott Union Square.
