IAAPA hosts press conference to showcase IAAPA Expo Asia 2019

On May 9, IAAPA hosted a press conference for IAAPA Expo Asia 2019 (formerly Asian Attractions Expo), as IAAPA executives, attractions industry leaders, and industry media gathered to preview the Expo. Scheduled to take place 11-14 June 2019 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, IAAPA Expo Asia is returning to Shanghai, China for the first time since 2016. More than 8,500 global amusement park and attractions industry professionals from more than 60 countries and regions will gather to buy, learn, and network at the largest international conference and trade show for the multibillion-dollar attractions industry in Asia. The 13,000-net-square-meter trade show floor will feature innovations from more than 400 exhibiting companies displaying the latest products and services designed to help attractions and leisure industry professionals make new connections and grow their businesses.

“We are excited to return to Shanghai for IAAPA Expo Asia,” said June Ko, executive director and vice president of IAAPA Asia Pacific Operations. “Attendees will experience the largest trade show floor in this event’s history. We’ve expanded the conference with more networking events, a robust education conference, and developed new opportunities for students and young professionals to learn more about the attractions industry. IAAPA Expo Asia is the place where the global attractions industry comes together to connect, learn, and grow.”

During a preview of IAAPA Expo Asia, attractions industry leaders shared market insights and the latest culture and tourism developments in Shanghai. Speakers included:

Education Conference Program

The Education program at IAAPA Expo Asia takes place over four days of the conference, where attendees can take part in more than 10 general education sessions on a wide range of topics including facility operations, marketing, public relations and communications, entertainment, government relations, security and safety, information technology, food and beverage, merchandise and games, human resources, and more.
