News From the IAAPA Attractions Expo 2017 Trade Show Floor

by Rona Gindin

Orlando — The IAAPA Attractions Expo kicked off the trade association’s 100th year by having a mock hard-hat groundbreaking of its to-be-constructed Orlando headquarters, and announcing inductees into the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions’ Hall of Fame. Those honored were Philippe de Villiers of Puy du Fou, Henri and Pamela Landwirth of Give Kids the World, and Richard M. Sherman, who wrote and co-wrote theme park music including, “It’s a Small World.” Andreas Andersen, CEO and president of the Liseberg Group in Gothenburg, Sweden, took the reins as IAAPA’s chairman of the board.
