Jeff Glinter New Director of Engineering for Premier Rides

Nov 21, 2011 Martin Palicki Uncategorized Comments Off on Jeff Glinter New Director of Engineering for Premier Rides

Baltimore, MD, USA— Cutting-edge theme park attraction supplier Premier Rides has announced that Jeff Glinter has joined the company in the position of Director of Engineering.

“I am excited that Jeff has joined Premier Rides,” said the company’s President, Jim Seay. “His leadership role will be an important part of Premier’s continuing growth and success. Jeff’s decades of high level engineering experience will be a great asset for Premier and our valued customers will appreciate his dedication to the industry.”

Seay stated further, “With a proven track record for delivering innovative solutions on fast-paced, complex projects, Jeff is known and respected throughout the theme park industry as a skilled leader of cross-functional teams on multi-million dollar projects. Jeff has over two decades of engineering and project management experience in the amusement and automotive fields, focusing specifically on attraction design and reliability.”

Glinter started his career with General Motors where he worked for a decade on a variety of projects including the world’s first electric vehicle program. As a Senior Engineer, he earned several patents for his contributions to the automotive industry. His work also included accident investigation with an emphasis on failure modes and affects analysis.

Transitioning into the theme park industry, Glinter worked at Walt Disney World as the Senior Project Engineer for EPCOT’s Test Track. He then provided engineering expertise and construction management for Six Flags Theme Parks. In his most recent role, Jeff worked as Director of Engineering at PARC Management. There he oversaw the project planning, design, installation, and maintenance of all rides, attractions, and facilities for twenty-four properties including five theme parks, four water parks, and fifteen family entertainment centers.

Jeff is very dedicated to safety in the industry, being a long term participant and contributor to the ASTM global safety standards and AIMS safety seminars. Additionally, he is well known for his welding expertise and is a Certified Welding Inspector, a registered Professional Engineer, a NAARSO Ride Inspector, and a commercial pilot.

Jeff received his Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering at Michigan State University and his Masters of Science in mechanical engineering at Stanford University.

“I am extremely excited to be part of the Premier team,” said Glinter. “I have always been impressed how Premier Rides strives to be on the cutting edge of technology when it comes to ride design and development. Also, with my years of work on the park side of the business, I have had the opportunity to personally experience Premier’s intense focus on quality of product and customer service. I look forward to being part of their formula for success.”
