Kentec Fire Alarm Control Panel Keeps Cirque du Soleil Audiences Safe from Harm

Dartford, UK — An innovative, portable wireless fire alarm system specially designed to protect audiences in the Cirque du Soleil KOOZA touring company’s 3000 seater big-top tent during performances in Poland, Belgium and most recently Singapore uses a Kentec fire alarm control panel.

The wireless fire safety system, designed and installed by Fire Systems Ltd., comprises a single loop Kentec Syncro AS analogue addressable fire alarm control panel, Hyfire devices including one translator and two expanders to control twenty two wireless sounder strobes and wireless manual call points with Argus protocol.

The fire alarm system is interfaced to a Scope pager system that, on activation, first alerts on-site fire wardens and security staff via radio pagers. This allows any alarm to be investigated to determine its status, before triggering the audible fire alarm and evacuating the big top.

Cirque du Soleil is the World’s largest theatrical producer having brought its unique theatre to more than 100 million people in over 40 countries. Its latest touring show KOOZA, a traditional Circus Homage, blends subcontinental sounds, stunning lighting and costumes with theatrical ingenuity and acrobatic wonder.
