Main Street Design Creates Science of Ripley’s Believe It or Not Traveling Exhibit for Science North

533081_10152569058150332_905053487_nCambridge, MA, USA — Main Street Design was commissioned by Science North of Sudbury, Ontario to design a 6,000 square foot international traveling exhibition exploring the scientific underpinnings of Ripley’s world famous collection of natural and human-made curiosities.  This media-rich and highly interactive exhibit features a wide range of artifacts and replicas representing everything from evolutionary oddities to microscopic sculptures, each with a dedicated interactive experience that explains it and delves into its meaning.  The exhibit opened to the public on March 2.

Highlights include: a life-size model of the prehistoric snake, Titanoboa, and revel at its incredible size, Robert Wadlow, the world’s tallest man, who grew to 2.7 m (8 feet 11 inches) tall,  intricate micro-sculptures so small, they fit in the eye of a needle, a calf with two faces, a megalodon shark jaw, a Rolls Royce made of matchsticks, and a portrait of Einstein made of toast.

This is the second major traveling exhibition that Main Street has designed for Science North.
