Torrance, CA, USA (July 16, 2012) — MediaMation, a leading provider of 4D/5D motion EFX theaters, has installed a turnkey 4D theater using their X4D® Motion EFX seating in the newly opened Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Odditorium, in Baltimore, MD.
MediaMation has a long-standing relationship with Ripley’s, having retrofitted three of their 4D Moving Theaters including Gatlinburg, TN, Niagara Falls, Canada and Myrtle Beach, FL. with new show control, 3D projection, sound and 4D EFX systems; as well as the installation of a turnkey 28-seat theater with full effects and X4D® Motion EFX seating, in their San Antonio, TX location last year. Future installations have plans for motion seating, in addition to 3D and 4D effects.
The 28-seat 4D Moving Theatre in the Baltimore location utilizes the X4D® Motion EFX Attraction seat series which allows for 3 DOF movement, and the standard built-in seat effects including a seat transducer, leg and neck ticklers, air and water blasts, and atmospheric effects, wind and strobing. In addition, Ripley’s 4D Moving Theater’s feature rain and snow in their chosen experience. The Baltimore location has selected two popular films by nWave Pictures, “Skate Race” and “Snow Ride,” to open their 4D motion theater experience.
