Mongolia Park’s Disappearing Act

The first year of InPark’s publishing included an often-commented-on story concerning a very small amusement park in Mongolia. Admittedly, it was extremely run down and likely had not entertained a kid or a kid-at-heart for years.

Still, I am disappointed to report that the park is being demolished to make way for more development, likely condos and hotels. While the park really needed a makeover more than anything, it still is sad to see another park close, even if it is on the other side of the planet.

My cousin Anne was in Mongolia recently and took the photo attached to this blog. She also wrote more about the situation on her own blog: http://ulaanainmongolia.blogspot.com/2008/04/childrens-parkdevelopment.html
