Washington, DC, USA — National Geographic Entertainment is undergoing reorganization.
National Geographic Films, now part of a new partnership between Hyde Park Entertainment and ImageNation, which co-presented the box-office success and 2005 Academy Award-winning film March of the Penguins, is undergoing a reorganization which will see new financing, production, and management in place.
National Geographic Cinema Ventures (NGCV), now a division of National Geographic Television & Film, will continue as a division of National Geographic Society and will develop, produce, acquire and distribute large format, digital, speciality and 3D films under the leadership of NGCV president, Lisa Truitt. Mark Katz will also continue to report to Truitt as president of distribution. NGCV’s latest productions include the giant screen and digital 3D film Flying Monsters 3D and the full dome digital presentation Wildest Weather in the Solar System. The division also offers a digital cinema partnership plan for museums.
