Doswell,VA, USA (May 1, 2012) — Kings Dominion lights up the night with later park hours and attractions including Fireworks, Snoopy’s Starlight Spectacular and brilliantly lit nighttime flyovers on one of our newest attractions, WindSeeker.
This Saturday, April 28th, Kings Dominion will be open until 10pm. As soon as dusk falls, more than 1 million LED lights will turn on for Snoopy’s Starlight Spectacular. Guests at the park will experience a nighttime walk-through light and sound spectacular featuring Snoopy and the PEANUTS™ gang. The dazzling experience will happen along the center walkway between the Eiffel Tower and the park’s Carousel attraction.
Coinciding with Snoopy’s Starlight Spectacular, get ready to look up, as fireworks blast off with Nights of Fire, seventy nights of stunning fireworks at 10pm. Nights of Fire can be best viewed from the Grove Section of the park near the Drop Tower plaza.
Both Snoopy’s Starlight Spectacular and Nights of Fire will run every night the park closes at 10pm between April 28th and September 2nd.
New for 2012 at Kings Dominion is WindSeeker, which soars 301 feet into the air and features a nighttime LED light package that will illuminate the park’s surroundings. On clear nights, you can see the night lights up to 18 miles away.
Before all the nighttime fun begins, park guests will have the opportunity to make the holiday season bright for kids by donating to our Toys for Tots day on April 28th. Kings Dominion has teamed up with the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys forTots Drive. Guests that donate a new, unwrapped toy, valued at $10 or more, will receive $22 off a full-priced Regular General Admission ticket for the day.
