Parques Reunidos Enters Asian Market With Management of Sun Group’s Dragon Park in Vietnam

Parques Reunidos, one of the world’s leading leisure park operators, expands its international presence to Vietnam with the management of Dragon Park, the largest theme park in Southeast Asia in which more than 160 million Euro have been invested. This new complex will be located within the Sun World Ha Long Park complex, owned by Sun Group, the leading investment firm in Vietnam, with whom Parques Reunidos has signed a strategic 10 year agreement for the management of the park.

Dragon Park, which spans 23 hectares (the equivalent of 46 football fields) and is designed with inspiration from the world’s leading modern theme parks, is aimed at a wide audience: children, teenagers and adults.

The park offers 32 high-end rides, including Dragon’s Run, Asia’s longest and most exiting roller coaster with a rail length of over 1,1 km, and Rhino, a drop tower that reaches 65 kilometers per hour. Dragon Park opens a marvelous and magical world that embodies many fairy tales with rides such as Tea Cups, Maxi Dance Party, and Circus Train. For families and teenagers, the park offers many more options such as the luxurious Tour de Paris with its majestic Eiffel tower, the romantic Royal Carousel with beautiful lights and melodies, or the Garden Cruisers which takes visitors on a relaxing boat trip through a tropical garden and under a spectacular waterfall.

In addition to attractions and restaurants with a varied culinary offering, Dragon Park offers visitors the best views to Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO world natural heritage since 1994.

By means of this new operation, Parques Reunidos expands its geographical presence and is now present in 61 parks in 14 countries, with around 20 million visitors per year.

Fernando Eiroa, CEO of Parques Reunidos, declared that: “This new opening represents a significant step in the expansion plan that the company has set for the coming years. The Asian market is a key region due to its strong growth potential in the leisure park industry. We believe this new park will prove a success in a strong tourist region such as Vietnam.”
