PHOTO ESSAY: MythBusters: The Explosive Exhibition (Part 1)

San Jose, CA, USA — On November 29, 2012, InPark Magazine News Editor Joe Kleiman paid a visit to MythBusters: The Explosive Exhibition at The Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose. The exhibit is a co-production of the Museum of Science and Industry Chicago, Beyond Entertainment, Discovery Communications, Geoffrey M. Curley + Associates, and Exhibits Development Group.  It is split into four parts: The Blueprint Room, featuring props from the television show; The Workroom, with interactive experiments; the MythBusting Demonstration Stage, a particapatory stage show; and a retail area which includes the opportunity to purchase green screen photos. Because of the size of its exhibit space and proximity to the Mythbusters studios in the Bay Area, the Tech is featuring additional props not seen elsewhere, such as a full scale duct tape airplane.  The exhibition continues through January 6 and then opens at Portland’s Oregon Museum of Science and Industry in February.  Special thanks to Tim Ritchie, Joy Pedersen, Bill Bailor, Michelle Thompson-Duncan, John Angle, Pete Adams, and the rest of The Tech’s staff.  All photos by Joe Kleiman.
