Pixomondo Completes Live Action Shoot of Harbin Ice and Snow Festivals for Wanda Flying Theater

Pixomondo LLC, whose visual effects work includes the Emmy Award winning Dragons of “Game of Thrones” and its Oscar winning visual effects for “Hugo,” has recently wrapped its live action shoot of the Ice and Snow Festivals in Harbin, China.

The colorful and dramatic aerial footage will be incorporated into the “Soaring Over Longjiang” film with additional scenes of the province in both live action and CG.

Transition elements in CG will link the scenes, creating a seamless flying experience that will open and close with an entertaining animal family of magical paper cutouts introduced in its animated pre-show.

Upon installation of the film this summer, Pixomondo will have created and produced three flying films and a motion platform ride attraction for The Wanda Group; Wuhan, Nanchang and Harbin, China.

Currently, Pixomondo is in production on multiple ride attractions in the UAE, Malaysia, and National Geographic ENCOUNTER: Ocean Odyssey, a first-of-its-kind immersive entertainment experience, launching in New York City this fall.
