IAE17 NEWS: Proslide Offers Three New Waterslide Options

by Rona Gindin

Proslide Technology Inc. is showcasing three new products at this week’s IAAPA Attractions Expo, says Andy Maurek, Vice President of Business Development.

RocketBLAST® is a hydro coaster that uses water propulsion and turbine technology to provide speed going up and down.

RocketBLAST® is a more affordably priced take on the ProSlide HydroMAGNETIC ROCKET®, which debuted in a big-budget water park this year. The first was installed in Texas in 2017.

RocketBLAST® can be enhanced with tilted round FlyingSAUCER® elements inserted between water-slide water coaster flumes. The technology behind the strategically positioned circles allows guests to traverse turns at high speeds – up to 30 feet per second, he says. The saucers are available in a variety of sizes to match up with flumes for bodies and 2-, 4- and 6-passenger tubes.

Also in 2017, ProSlide introduced the Double TornadoWAVE™. While the original, a wall insert, has been on the market since 2011, the double wall option is new. “It creates a dedicated ride path for 4- and 6-person rafts into a near vertical-zero-gravity moment,” Maurek explains.
