“I am beyond ecstatic over the excitement and support from the industry and my peers about this next stage of my adventure,” said Jeremy Railton at the launch of his new design firm, Railton Entertainment Design (RED) in partnership with Scott Ault. “Scott is an amazing creative business partner, and immediately upon shaking hands to form our partnership, great things have been happening and new projects coming forward.”
EDC is now RED – In this venture, Jeremy Railton’s former company known for 25 years as Entertainment Design Corporation has been recreated as RED (Railton Entertainment Design). RED will serve themed entertainment and location-based entertainment markets with design services.
The company name reflects the name and legacy of Jeremy Railton himself, an award winning themed entertainment designer whose honors include the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) Buzz Price Thea Award for a Lifetime of Distinguished Achievements. Railton also sits on the TEA Thea Award Committee. Railton is also an Emmy award winning art director and production designer.
The collaboration between Railton and Ault offers design and production services focusing on out of home entertainment, including theme parks, attractions, iconic public art, brand activations, live spectaculars, and destination resorts.
For the past two years, Scott Ault’s Checkmate Development Group focused on Intellectual Property and Licensing within the out-of-home marketplace. Prior to Checkmate, Ault was one of the key leaders behind 20th Century Fox World projects, Lotte World’s Undersea Kingdom, and multiple Nickelodeon branded parks in China during his tenure as President and CEO of Rethink Leisure and Entertainment. “There is no doubt Jeremy is a creative genius. The opportunity to lead projects in partnership with a TEA lifetime achievement honoree is incredible.” said Ault.
Railton is expected to serve as Senior Partner and overall creative lead to the organization while Ault will lead the day-to-day operations as its Managing Partner.
RED is attending IAAPA Expo Nov 19-22, 2019. More at www.railton.design
