Los Angeles, CA, USA — Rando Productions, a full service design, engineering, and manufacturing organization servicing all industries in the entertainment business from theme park attractions and museum exhibits to broadcast and film, has donated its one-of-a-kind Rando Christmas Tree to Shane’s Inspiration, a premiere philanthropic organization for creating social inclusion for children with disabilities.

The $35,000 tree is one the highest value and unusual gifts that Shane’s Inspiration has received in its 16-year history.  It will be sold at the charity’s live auction, part of their 2014 Gala Celebration on March 8 at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

“We’re sure the tree is going to create quite a stir of excitement at our auction, and bring in high bids,”  commented Catherine Curry-Williams, Shane’s Inspiration Co-Founder and Gala Chair.

With its 10,000 lights, the 28-foot tall 360-degree rotating Rando Christmas Tree can be seen at night from a half mile away.  Steel rods form the tree silhouette, crowned with an LED light star.  Its complex light sequencing system interacts with textilene mesh glitter fabric to create the illusion of a green ribbon in motion, flowing around the entire tree.

Because the tree is too large to transport to the Gala, instead, auction guests will be treated to a video presentation of its sophisticated design, showing how it lights up the night sky.

Creating social inclusion for children with disabilities through the vehicle of inclusive playgrounds and programs, Shane’s Inspiration is a premiere philanthropy based in Los Angeles, and involved in projects all over the world. Since 1998, it has helped raise millions of dollars to develop almost 50 Universally Accessible Playground projects in Southern California, Canada, Mexico, Ecuador, and Russia.  Shane’s Inspiration has also reached over 35,000 children through transportation, education and community outreach programs.
