New York, NY, USA — Registration is open for PLASA Focus: Austin 2012, taking place Feb 22-23, 2012 at the Renaissance Austin Hotel in Austin, TX.  PLASA Focus: Austin builds on the success of previous PLASA Focus events in Europe to create a new style of North American regional event. As the first in an ongoing series of regional events, a PLASA Focus show will never be far from home, which means lower costs and less hassle for exhibitors and visitors alike.

While new audio, staging, lighting and AV products will top the show floor agenda, The Professional Development Program will see educational sessions from PLASA’s partners in the event: The Stagecraft Institute of Las Vegas, The Broadway Green Alliance, Austin City Limits Live, The Production Equipment Rental Group, and the Long Centre for the Performing Arts, among others.

PLASA Focus brings exhibitors to local customers who might not attend larger industry events. In addition, a unique European-style inclusive booth package, complete with hard walls, furniture, power, lighting, and a materials handling allowance, levels the playing field for a simpler exhibiting experience. That means more availability to network and do business, the very reasons for attending a trade event.

Registration is free, and attendees will have an opportunity to experience and interact firsthand with the latest entertainment technologies without having to travel far from home.
