Roland Mack to Keynote TEA SATE Europe 2018

The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) has announced that Roland Mack of Mack Rides and Europa-Park will present the keynote speech during this year’s SATE Europe conference, taking place May 2-3 at Europa-Park in Rust, Germany.

After receiving his graduate engineering degree in 1974, Mack co-founded Europa-Park in 1975. In recent years, he has transformed Europa-Park into the largest resort destination in Germany by adding five world-class hotels. Through his guidance and vision, the park has become the second largest in Europe and the largest in Germany, attracting more than 5.5 million guests per year. Additionally, under his leadership, his family’s manufacturing company, Mack Rides, has a worldwide reputation for the quality of its workmanship and high level of innovation. Mack is also a former IAAPA Chairman of the Board and founding member of the German Association of Amusement Parks. In 2016, he was inducted into the IAAPA Hall of Fame.

The SATE Europe conference theme will feature speakers from various disciplines and is aimed at helping you understand how great attractions are being shaped and how current developments and innovations will shape the landscape of our industry going forward. The speakers will share their experiences and insights on issues such as:

• A strategic approach to IPs and Branding instead of simply picking one

• Driving long term growth without losing sight of what happens today

• Accessibility as a premise instead of an after-thought

• Solutions through landscaping

• Security as a driver for change

• Technology shaping our future

SATE will use Storytelling + Architecture + Technology = Experience to explore how these elements are changing and influencing the fabric that makes up award winning visitor attractions.
