TEA Issues Call for Proposals for SATE 2014

Burbank, CA, USA — SATE stands for Storytelling, Architecture, Technology and Experience – the core elements
of themed entertainment. SATE is a 2-day conference dedicated to exploring those elements and how
they’re used to create meaningful places, experiences and events.

SATE is organized around its four themes: Storytelling, Architecture, Technology and
Experience. Sometimes a topic or speaker can fit into several different categories – you may select
as many as you think are applicable. If you’d like a refresher on last year’s conference, or would like
to ensure that your topic was not previously covered, please visit sate2013.blogspot.com for more
information.

TOPICS
Describe, in 100 words or less, what topic you would like to see explored at SATE. Why do you
think it would be of particular interest to SATE attendees? Why does it matter? Include a website if
applicable. Please specify one or more applicable categories:
STORYTELLING, ARCHITECTURE, TECHNOLOGY, EXPERIENCE

SPEAKERS
Describe, in 100 words or less, who you think should speak at SATE. Why do you think they would
be of particular interest to SATE attendees? Please note that you are strongly encouraged to consider

PROPOSALS
What would you like to talk about at SATE? The conference is looking for thought-provoking topics that will
stimulate thought, discussion and controversy. Proposals most likely to be considered will be high-level
overviews of trends and technologies that are likely to impact this industry’s future – this is not the
conference for project case studies. SATE is looking for all proposals to be presented in 20 minutes or
less. Required information:

–Title of Proposal: Call it something catchy.

–Thesis Statement: What’s the big idea? Describe your proposal in one sentence.

–Abstract: In 100 words or less, tell us more about your proposal and why we should consider it for
SATE. What’s exciting about your proposal? What are you trying to prove?

Please specify one or more applicable categories:

Please send your TOPICS, SPEAKERS & PROPOSALS
to [email protected] no later than June 1.
