Scottie’s Fun Spot Adds Two New Attractions From Creative Works

Quincy, Illinois USA — Scottie’s Fun Spot , also known as Scottie’s Skateland, has a long history in the family entertainment industry, especially in the roller skating world. With an original skating rink built by the founder, Albert R. (Scottie) Scott, in 1939, this small business in western Illinois has seen several changes and growth over the past seventy years. Creative Works was fortunate enough to be a recent part of this rich history and add some great new attractions to the center in Quincy, Illinois.

Bob Scott and Jeff Scott, the owners of Scottie’s, found Creative Works at both the International Association of Amusement Parks & Attractions (IAAPA) and the International Laser Tag Association (ILTA) trade shows. These gentlemen had seen other themed arenas by Creative Works and knew that they wanted to add CW to their team of vendors. Creative Works was able to create a high-tech space themed arena with vivid colors and shapes to deliver the “Wow Effect”. In addition to the 3,600 square foot arena, a custom UFO prop was built for the entry way that is sure to get attention as it pops out of the wall.

Creative Works was also able to add the Lazer Frenzy lazer maze attraction into Scottie’s. The addition of the 200 square foot lazer maze was a natural add-on. Because of the small footprint, Lazer Frenzy was a great choice for generating revenue for their center because of the contagious nature of repeat plays by both young and old alike. “We’re very happy with both attractions that Creative Works built and installed,” commented owner, Bob Scott. “Jeff Schilling and his team provided two quality attractions that are sure to increase business in our growing center.”

“It’s refreshing to work with facilities like Scottie’s. They are open to new ideas and have made some great choices with the attractions for their center in Quincy,” commented Schilling, Chief Architect of Experiences at Creative Works. “It was a pleasure doing business with a company that has been in the roller skating industry for so long.”
