Silver Dollar City and its Attractions Celebrate Star-Spangled Summer

Branson, MO, USA (June 17, 2014) /PRNewswire/ — Silver Dollar CityBranson’s highly acclaimed 1880s-style theme park, kicks off vacation season with the all-new festival Star-Spangled Summer. The festival takes summer family time to new heights with high-flying action, as the theme park draws more international accolades for its newest wood coaster Outlaw Run, named one of the biggest game-changing attractions in history.

A special feature in this Olympic year, Star-Spangled Summer presents the new show Flying Ace All Stars, featuring Olympic athletes, world champions and future hopefuls performing stunts on trampolines. Also new,The Illusionary Magic of Brad Ross stars the Merlin Award Winner for Best International Family Entertainer.

Still making headlines, Silver Dollar City’s world-famous, award-winning wood coaster Outlaw Run was recently spotlighted by CNN.com as one of the 12 biggest game-changers in the history of theme park attractions. Outlaw Run was named Best New Ride of 2013 worldwide.

Branson visitors can also experience dare-the-drop thrills at another Silver Dollar City Attraction: the tropically themed water park White Water unveiled a new $1.7 million drop-floor thrill slide, KaPau Plummet. KaPau Plummet features a heart-pounding, drop-floor launch from atop a four-story tower, with a near-vertical 70-degree plunge and two-story free fall through two dueling slides.

Visitors can experience another facet of Branson aboard the 700-seat Showboat Branson Belle as it cruises Table Rock Lake with more than 800 miles of scenic shoreline. Each cruise includes a three-course dinner and the show Made in the USA, with the world’s only violin-playing aerialist, Janice Martin, and the male vocal group The ShowMen, with comedian and magician Christopher James as emcee.
