Six-Story Tall Rope Course Opens in Texas

New Braunfels, TX, USA — One of Texas’ most popular attractions, Natural Bridge Caverns, has “kicked up the fun” a notch with the recent opening of the Canopy Challenge Adventure Course and Zip Lines.

The Canopy Challenge Adventure Course leads visitors through a series of 47 challenging rope passages, each with a unique obstacle feature, as they climb up four levels, higher and higher into the air. A safety harness and guiding track system ensure that each guest is secure as they complete the course at their own pace. Crossing elements such as the Burma Buckets and the Criss-Cross Tight Ropes, the Canopy Challenge tests guests’ agility, balancing skills and strength.

The four different Zip Lines provide guests with over 1400 feet of high-flying fun, with spectacular views of the Texas Hill Country as a backdrop. This scenic aerial ride has guests soaring above the trees, suspended up to 50 feet in the air. Safety is a top priority on the Zip Lines which use patented technology including an integrated, double-protection safety system.

“The Canopy Challenge and Zip Lines are two incredible adventures that the whole family can experience together,” said Travis Wuest, whose family has owned and operated Natural Bridge Caverns for three generations. “The new attraction complements the other activities and tours available at the Caverns, and offers people the chance to do something outside of their comfort zone in a relaxed and secure setting.”

The Canopy Challenge and Zip Lines are open to all ages, with a height requirement of at least 48 inches for those going solo. Children under 48 inches must be accompanied by an adult. For the little ones, the Canopy Kids Course offers a junior version of the Canopy Challenge where parents can walk alongside in a kid-friendly zone.

The opening of the Canopy Challenge and Zip Lines adds to the many activities that make Natural Bridge Caverns a complete family fun destination. Visitors have the chance to experience a number of underground cavern tours through a half-mile of the largest and most spectacular show caverns in Texas. For the more daring cave enthusiast, Adventure Tours offer exclusive caving trips into remarkable wild sections of the cavern. Guests can also pan for gems and minerals like miners panned for gold at the Natural Bridge Mining Company. A gift shop, snack bar, and picnic grounds are also available.
