Million-Dollar Light Show Illuminates the Night with over 1.2 Million LED Lights accompanied by nightly fireworks
Designed using a dazzling mixture of low energy and high efficiency LED lighting, this immersive light and sound spectacular is located around the park’s Eiffel Tower, along the Center Walkway to The Grove area, and features more than 1.2 million LED lights. The colorful lights and spotlights adorn the Eiffel Tower and surrounding trees up to 80 feet in height. The entire experience will be accented by vibrant animated and stationary light displays, vivid theatrical lighting and other cutting edge special effects, all orchestrated to a custom designed audio soundtrack.
Snoopy’s Starlight Spectacular is being brought to life by world-renowned lighting designer Andrew Strain. Strain, who has created award-winning light displays in California, New York and London, says he drew inspiration from classic PEANUTS™ comic strips to create this unique cutting-edge experience he designed for Kings Dominion.
“I went with a classic design with a modern twist, using the Eiffel Tower as the exclamation point and highlight of the show,” said Strain. “It is a show for families, so I incorporated classic PEANUTS™ comic strips with a great up-beat Top 40’s soundtrack that the whole family can walk through and enjoy.”
Adding to the excitement of “Snoopy’s Starlight Spectacular” is “Nights of Fire,” a nightly fireworks display. Beginning June 18 and running every night the park is open until 10pm, Kings Dominion will feature 62 amazing nights of sparkling lights and marvelous pyrotechnics!
“Snoopy’s Starlight Spectacular” and “Nights of Fire” begins nightly June 18 – Aug 14 and also includes August 20, 27 and September 3-4.
