Rome, Italy (June 19, 2013) — James Gandolfini, who played mob boss Tony Soprano on the HBO series, has died of a heart attack at age 51 while vacationing in Rome.  In one of his more recent roles, Gandolfini played the down-on-his-luck alcoholic ride operator Bailey in the 2011 independent thriller “Down the Shore.”  The film was shot on location on the Jersey Shore, including at the historic Keansburg Amusement Park, one of the many shoreline Jersey parks rebuilding after suffering severe damage from Hurricane Sandy.
