Strong/MDI to Exhibit Specialty Screens for Immersive Attractions at IAAPA Attractions Show

Strong/MDI Screen Systems, a Ballantyne Strong Inc. company, will exhibit at the IAAPA Attractions Expo, November 14th to the 17th at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. The company, in collaboration with Eclipse Projection Screens, will be presenting seamless curvilinear projection screen solutions for immersive experiences as well as a wide range of sophisticated optical coatings.

The patented curvilinear screen system by Eclipse is entirely seamless under projection and can be crafted into any size or shape, including a full dome. The virtually invisible speaker panels are incorporated into the solid surface to increase the approximation of sound to the visual image. These sophisticated sound panels are critical in obtaining a truly immersive experience.

Strong/MDI Screen Systems will also showcase its custom optical coatings to enhance the overall visual performance for immersive applications. These coatings are specially formulated by a team of chemists for specific viewing environments, they are applied onsite by the company’s technicians. “Strong/MDI is widely recognized within the cinema industry for its durable coatings that serve to boost the viewer experience to another level.” says Francois Barrette, General Manager at Strong/MDI “After several successful theme park and simulator projects in the last year alone, we feel it is high-time to showcase these innovative coating solutions to the theme park industry at IAAPA.”

You can learn more about these specialized products by visiting Strong/MDI at booth #2150 during the event.
