Kuala Lumpur, Indonesia (April 9, 2014) — Sunway Group has expanded its strategic collaboration with Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) with an investment valued at RM100 million to develop Nickelodeon Explorers’ Oasis, at Sunway Lagoon.
Nickelodeon Explorers’ Oasis, the first Nickelodeon-branded attraction to be launched in Asia, will solidify Sunway Resort City’s position as one of the leading tourist destinations in the region. The new Nickelodeon project will span at approximately 3,300 square metres within a new 7.5-acre park at Sunway Lagoon.
Nickelodeon Explorers’ Oasis will feature characters such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles amongst others is targeted for completion by March 2015. The new attraction will add to Sunway Lagoon’s five existing parks namely Water Park, Extreme Park, Interactive Wildlife Park, Amusement Park and Lynton V Harris Scream Park.
