TEA Announces Presenters for 2012 Thea Awards – industry celebs such as Pixar’s Pete Docter will be on hand

The Themed Entertainment Association has announced the first group of celebrity presenters scheduled for the Thea Awards Gala, March 17, 2012, in Anaheim, CA, USA at the Disneyland Hotel.  Confirmed for the event are:

  • Pete Doctor, director of Disney Pixar’s Monsters, Inc. and Up! and a consultant to Walt Disney Imagineering.
  • Jonas Rivera, producer of Disney Pixar’s Up! and production coordinator on Cars.
  • Michael Giacchino, composer of a number of major motion pictures, including Disney Pixar films, television programs, video games, and theme park attractions, including Thea recipient Star Wars: The Adventures Continue. 
  • Charles Phoenix, American humorist who leads guided tours of downtown Los Angeles from a Disneyland point of view.
  • Joel Manby, Chair, President, and CEO of theme park and attraction operator Herschend Entertainment and participant on the CBS television show Undercover Boss.  

More presenters will be announced soon. Executive producer for the 2012 Thea Awards Gala is Ron Miziker. The Thea Awards Gala is the culminating event of three days of TEA meetings and sessions, beginning with the TEA Summit on March 15 and 16.

The Thea Awards Gala is open to the public and tickets are on sale now at the TEA Box Office.
