THE COASTER CAPITAL OF NEW ENGLAND LAUNCHES ITS 10TH COASTER GOTHAM CITY GAUNTLET ESCAPE FROM ARKHAM ASYLUM

AGAWAM, Mass., USA /PRNewswire/ — Six Flags New England, home to the largest collection of coasters in New England, announced the launch of Gotham City Gauntlet Escape from Arkham Asylum adding another level of family thrills to the park’s line up.  Six Flags New England’s newest roller coaster will reside in the DC Super Hero Adventures section of the park, joining the top-rated Bizarro.

Adventure seeking guests are challenged to tap into their villainous side as they attempt to escape from Arkham Asylum; home of Gotham City’s criminally insane.  The ride experience begins as guests board the four person coaster cars and start a five-story climb towards the sky.  Once riders reach the top of the peak, their world is sent spinning and twirling through a maze of 17 hairpin turns, winding twists and turns and unexpected dips. Careening along 1,213 feet of track, this all-new coaster adventure delivers thrills to guests of all ages.

“Gotham City Gauntlet Escape from Arkham Asylum solidifies Six Flags New England’s place as the coaster capital of New England,” said Jason Freeman, Six Flags New England’s Park President.  “We are home to the largest collection of coasters in the Northeast and we’re excited to offer our guests even more ride options with this latest addition.”

For a second consecutive year Six Flags New England has been named “Best Amusement Park in New England” in Yankee Magazine’s Readers’ Choice survey.  “For over 75 years, Yankee Magazine has served as the authority on New England travel. It’s no surprise that our readers are passionate about exploring this region,” says Heather Atwell, communications manager for Yankee Magazine. “This is the second year we’ve asked them for their favorites in New England, and they answered enthusiastically. We’re happy to share the ‘Best of New England’ according to Yankee Magazine’s readers.”
