The Funplex honored with IAAPA Brass Ring Award for "Top Family Entertainment Center"

MT. LAUREL, N.J. USA /PRNewswire/ — The Funplex announced it has been named Top Family Entertainment Center (FEC) in North America, at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Expo Brass Ring Awards held in Orlando, Florida on November 16, 2011. The Brass Ring Awards have been a symbol of excellence for the attractions industry for years. This award honor excellence and achievement in a variety of disciplines and categories including live entertainment, marketing, human resources, retail excellence and family entertainment centers. The facilities considered for the IAAPA expo are judged on a variety of criteria including a pre-visit telephone call, web-site review, general appearance, staff hospitality, cleanliness, landscaping, attractions, food state of repair, safety and more.

Founded in 1918, the IAAPA is the largest international trade association for permanently situated amusement facilities world-wide. The organization represents over 4,000 facility, suppliers and individual members from more than 93 countries. The Funplex has two locations in Mount Laurel and East Hanover, New Jersey and is regarded as the largest indoor/outdoor family entertainment center in New Jersey hosting over one million guests annually through two locations. Collectively, the centers accommodate more than 100,000 children during birthday parties each year and 70,000 guests through corporate outings and group events.
