Themed Entertainment Association President Rick Rothschild Congratulates New Board Members

Orlando, Florida, USA – “I am pleased to announce the election of new board members, and to thank our outgoing members for their service over the past years,” said TEA (Themed Entertainment Association) International Board President Rick Rothschild, of FAR Out! Creative Direction. “We’ve made great progress in the past year thanks to our many volunteer leaders, and I look forward to working with all our volunteers and staff in the year ahead.”
“To all the candidates in this year’s election, thank you for your willingness to serve,” said Rothschild. “A special thank you to outgoing Europe & Middle East Division President, Alan Wilkinson, of Electrosonic Ltd as well as a welcome to recently elected Phil Hartley, of Phil Hartley Associates. Other big thank-you’s to Brian Morrow of SeaWorld and David Aion, of The Aion Company, for their willingness to serve a second year as Presidents of the Eastern and Western Divisions. And finally welcome to the new volunteers joining our International Board and our divisional boards. This is going to be an exciting year for the TEA.”

About new TEA President Rick Rothschild
On Nov 17, 2010, Rick Rothschild of FAR Out! Creative Direction took office as the new president of the Themed Entertainment Association, succeeding Steve Thorburn of Thorburn Associates, who had served for two years. A creative executive with Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) for 30 years, Rothschild currently heads FAR Out! Creative Direction, consults for WDI and is also part of Global Immersion’s creative technology team. More on Rick Rothschild here.

Judith Rubin ([email protected]) is a leading journalist, content marketing specialist and connector in the international attractions industry. She reports on design and technical design, production and project management, industry trends and company culture. From 2005-2020 she ran communications and publications for the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA). In 2013, she was honored with the TEA Service Award. She was development director of IMERSA and publicist for the Large Format Cinema Association, and has contributed to the publications of PLASA, IAAPA and the International Planetarium Society. Judith joined World’s Fair magazine in 1987, which introduced her to the attractions industry. She joined InPark in 2010. Judith earned a BFA from Pratt Institute. She has lived in Detroit, New York, Oakland, and now Saint Louis, where she is active in the local arts community.
